The Women You See on My Website Aren't Models
Can I tell you a little secret?
The women you see all over my website—the ones who look confident, powerful, sexy, and completely at home in their bodies—aren't models. They're teachers, nurses, moms, business owners, stay-at-home moms, women celebrating birthdays, women celebrating divorces, women celebrating beating cancer, and women finally deciding it's okay to celebrate themselves. They're everyday women... probably a lot more like you than you realize.
And here's something else you probably don't know.
Almost every single one of them walked into the studio saying some version of the exact same thing. "I'm so nervous." "I have no idea what I'm doing." "I almost canceled." "I don't know how to pose." "I hope I don't look awkward."
Sound familiar?
Because I hear those words all the time.
In fact, I get messages the night before sessions from women asking if they're making the right decision or admitting they're freaking out a little. My answer is always the same... absolutely. You don't have to show up confident. You don't have to know how to pose. You don't have to walk through my studio doors feeling like the women you see in my portfolio.
That's my job.
I guide you through every single pose. I'll tell you where to put your hands, how to move, where to look, and I'll probably make you laugh more than once. Before you know it, you'll stop thinking about the camera altogether. Instead of worrying about what you look like, you'll start enjoying the experience, and that's when the magic happens.
One of my favorite moments during every session is when I turn the back of my camera around and let you see what I've been seeing all along.
Almost every single woman has the same reaction.
She looks at the photo, looks back at me, and says, "Wait... that's me?"
Yes.
It is.
The woman you're looking at has been there this entire time. Maybe life got busy. Maybe motherhood took over. Maybe work became the priority. Maybe you've spent so many years taking care of everyone else that you stopped seeing yourself.
But she's still there.
I didn't create her. I didn't magically turn you into someone else. I simply helped you see the version of yourself that has been there all along.
So if you've been scrolling through my website thinking, "Those women could never be me," I want you to know something.
Every single woman you've admired in my portfolio probably had those exact same thoughts before she booked. She wasn't a model. She wasn't fearless. She didn't wake up overflowing with confidence.
She simply decided to say yes anyway.
And if she could do it...
I promise you can too.
